Suzanne and Kelin got married at the Steam Whistle Brewery in the heart of downtown Toronto.
They got ready at the nearby Novotel hotel on the Esplanade. I love shooting on The Esplanade because of the beautiful and ornate architecture. The archways are perfect for photographing the couple and the wedding party and the covered walkway works well if it’s raining (which it was earlier in the day but luckily cleared up just as we started our shoot).
We took some more fun photos with the wedding party outside of the Steam Whistle Brewery and surrounding Railway Museum which is also one of my favourite spots.
The ceremony was short and sweet followed by a cocktail reception inside the brewery. The reception itself was a fun-filled Game of Thrones themed party. The couple entered the room in king and queen capes and hosted a trivia quiz involving all the guests. The teams that were eliminated had to do shots while the winners were awarded the royal capes to wear.
At the end of the night we set up a photo booth with all the Game of Thrones inspired props the couple brought. It was such a blast and really got the party going.
I love this first-look set up we did. Here you see Suzanne creeping up behind Kelin and below the amazing reaction of when they see each other for the first time!
This was our attempt at emulating the poster from the movie Bridesmaids!
