I only officially met the bride and groom a couple of days before ther wedding since they live in New Zealand and booked me based on my website alone.

They got married at The Old Mill, a place I’ve shot at numerous times before. Unfortunately it poured rain for most of the day which put a bit of a damper (pun intended) on their outdoor garden party wedding they had planned. Regardless, the Old Mill has some lovely antique-looking indoor areas which really complimented the bride’s vintage look. Luckily, we managed to sneak outside for a few quick shots in between rain showers.

I thought their wedding cake was a really nice touch. The couple are avid hikers, campers and all round outdoorsy people – their engagement actually happened on the top of Mount Kilimanjaro – so the cake was a very creative tribute to that moment!
