Chloé & Alain – Kajama Tall Ship and Monarch Tavern Wedding, Toronto

Chloé and Alain’s wedding aboard The Tall Ship Kajama was truly a unique experience, and a first for me!

With the Toronto skyline as a backdrop and the sparkling waters of Lake Ontario beneath combined with the majestic, fully restored 1930s ship, it was a picturesque and memorable celebration of their love.

The ceremony took place on the deck of the ship surrounded by panoramic views of the cityscape and Toronto Island. It was sentimental and emotional filled with laughter and tears. Immediately after the ceremony the couple and their witnesses went below deck to sign the registry while the guests mingled. Upon their return, they kicked the party off right with a champagne toast and a real cannon statute!

The guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and dancing on deck while taking in the sights and sounds of the harbour and cruising through the Toronto Island Lagoons. The ship’s crew even invited some lucky guests to assist in raising the sail for the authentic tall ship experience.

Once back on land, Chloé, Alain and myself headed to the Little Italy neigbourhood of Toronto. This area, as well as the reception venue, is very special to them. They had their first date at the Monarch Tavern, frequent Bitondos pizzeria across the street, and even had their first kiss on the street corner just down from there. Incorporating these sentimental landmarks into their photos will only make them that much more meaningful.
