Derica and Markus got married at the stunning Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington. It was a balmy summer day without a cloud in the sky.

From the moment the highschool sweethearts first saw each other on their wedding day, they were constantly laughing, giggling, joking and straight up giddy! It really showed how their connection is based on fun and humour…and dungeons and dragons! D&D was a theme throughout their wedding. During the ceremony, they had to roll the dice to determine who said their vows first, their centerpieces and bombonieres had a multi-sided dice theme and their kissing game involved guests rolling the dice to get them to kiss. 

Derica is a talented piano player and teacher so it was very fitting that her handmade bouquet and the groom’s boutonniere were made out of sheet music. They brought in various elements of their life together into the celebration including their “wedding cookies”, in lieu of a cake, which were shaped like their cat!

This was a super fun wedding to shoot, the couple and all their guests were a blast and the party continued all night under a full moon.
