Tilda and Ervin were referred to me by newly-weds Debbie and Stefan whose wedding I photographed the year before. I’m always so grateful for word-of-mouth referrals from past clients as it is indeed the best and most authentic way to promote my business.
Tilda took the role of the glamourous bride to a whole other level. Those shoes, that dress, the smokey eyes, and all the sparkle! She looked stunning!
We arranged for a first-look reveal at Black Creek Pioneer Village which is such a fun place for portraits. I love the contrast between the rustic setting and the wedding party’s elegant look. It was a bit of a race against time with the weather as the droplets of rain started just as we were wrapping up. Within minutes of us leaving the site we were caught in a torrential downpour!
The ceremony took place at The Jewel Event Centre where there is, luckily, an indoor option in case of rain. Everything was quickly moved upstairs (with the help of my assistant, Sarah, who’s the best!) and the ceremony went off without a hitch.
The reception was a wonderful mix of traditional Albanian dancing, many tear-jerking speeches, a multi-course gourmet dinner, and a fairytale first dance complete with dry ice.
We ended the evening with a beautiful night portrait outside where the ceremony was originally supposed to take place. I’m so glad we had the chance to make use of this spot and create a special memory there.
