Emily and Peter got married on the most perfect late-summer day. It was sunny and breezy without the stifling humidity that Toronto has been experiencing.
\nEmily got ready at a gorgeous rental house in the heart of downtown and then she and her girls (plus one bridesmate) headed to a friend’s home for their big reveal.<\/p>\n

Peter looked ecstatic to see his stunning bride for the first time. Emily wore a custom designed gown by local designer Catherine Langlois<\/a> accompanied by a long flowy veil which was her “something borrowed” from a bridesmaid.<\/p>\n

I love photographing at the Steam Whistle Brewery. It’s such a unique building in the middle of the city surrounded by lots of open space and great architecture. The ceremony was heartfelt and emotional. The highlight was the musical performance by the bride’s brother of a song that he and Emily wrote together, he wrote the music and she wrote the lyrics. It was so touching there wasn’t a dry eye in the house!<\/p>\n

The rest of the evening was casual and personal. They had food stations that represented the couples heritages – Lobster Bisque for Emily’s east coast roots and schnitzel for Peter’s Hungarian\u00a0side (plus many other delicious options). They didn’t have a seating plan allowing guests to mix and mingle as they wished.<\/p>\n

After a few sweet speeches, the couple and their guests danced the night away. The flower girls definitely dominated the floor most of the night!<\/p>\n
