As with many other couples who planned their wedding in 2020, Yan and Tim had to make the difficult decision between scaling-down and carrying on or postponing. After a bit of back and forth, they\u00a0chose to continue with their planned wedding date making various adjustments to comply with the ever-changing COVID-19 requirements.<\/p>\n

Tim’s parents’ beautifully landscaped backyard garden in\u00a0Richmond Hill became the new venue and they downsized the number of guests to 20 of their closest family members. Following the brief and intimate ceremony, the bride and groom and their parents gave speeches that were both humorous and emotional.<\/p>\n

The wedding portraits were taken at the gorgeous Richmond Green\u00a0Park which features many\u00a0photogenic\u00a0backdrops including a waterfall, pond, heritage buildings and rustic\u00a0gazebos.\u00a0With no wedding party accompanying us, we spent our\u00a0time focused on just the two of them allowing us to relax and explore the grounds while taking beautiful portraits.<\/p>\n

Upon return to the house, Yan and Tim changed into their traditional Chinese outfits for the tea ceremony which concluded the event.<\/p>\n

Even though the day went quite differently than Yan and Tim had originally imagined, it was perfect in its intimacy, sentimentality and tradition which made for a wonderful wedding.<\/p>\n
