Kim & Arno’s Intimate Cottage Wedding in Minden
Kim and Arno’s wedding was one of those truly special days that felt deeply personal from beginning to end. Having known Kim since high school, it was especially meaningful to photograph a celebration surrounded by so many familiar faces and longtime friends. Their intimate wedding took place at their private cottage property in Minden, where the forest and lake created the perfect natural backdrop for their ceremony.
With the calm water and towering trees framing the scene, the couple exchanged vows in an emotional ceremony that had more than a few guests wiping away tears. One of the sweetest moments of the day was seeing their two young sons take part in the ceremony as the flower boy and ring bearer, adding an extra layer of joy and family connection to the celebration.
Lakeside Cocktails and a School Bus Ride to Haliburton
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a relaxed cocktail reception on the cottage property, taking in the peaceful lakeside setting while sharing hugs, laughter, and congratulations with the newlyweds. Soon after, everyone piled onto a bright yellow school bus for a fun and memorable ride to the reception at Pinestone Resort in Haliburton.
The ride itself became part of the celebration, with guests chatting, laughing, and enjoying the scenic drive through the Haliburton Highlands.
Dinner and Dancing at Pinestone Resort
The celebration continued at Pinestone Resort with dinner, heartfelt speeches, and a lively dance floor where friends and family gathered to celebrate Kim and Arno late into the evening. Later in the night, we stepped outside for a few nighttime portraits of the couple using sparklers, creating some fun and romantic images to end the day.
From the quiet intimacy of the lakeside ceremony to the joyful reception party and glowing sparkler portraits, their wedding day perfectly reflected what matters most to them: family, friendship, and love.
