The first thing I noticed about Jenny when I arrived at the Four Season Hotel was how incredibly relaxed she was. In a room filled with the usual hustle and bustle of pre-wedding excitement, she was solid as a rock. This mood flowed throughout the whole day and really reflected who Jenny and Paddy are as a couple.
We arranged for a first-look at Craigleigh park which is in a quiet residential area close-by. Paddy was there waiting eagerly and emotions flowed as they saw each other for the first time.
After a portrait session that was unfortunately cut short due ravenous mosquitoes, of which Jenny is highly sensitive to (and who wants to be covered in welts on your wedding day?) we headed, unfazed, to the Toronto Reference Library for some more photos surrounded by row upon row of books. I love the unique look of the building. All the architecturally elements were fun to get creative with making for some amazing portraits.
The ceremony was emotional and heartfelt. Jenny and her father descending from the large glass elevator was a unique touch.
The decor in the dining hall was perfectly suited for their simple and elegant library theme. Antique books accompanied with white and blush flowers and candles made up the centerpieces creating a warm and inviting environment.
The speeches were definitely the highlight of the reception, the comedy level was on par with any celebrity roast and the sentimentality had everyone laughing and crying at the same time.
