Ashley & Brittany – Toronto Micro Wedding at Home

Ashley and Brittany first contacted me in April 2020 when Covid was a new thing and people were still hopeful it would all be over within a year. Their original date was set for January 2021 which, at the time, seemed reasonable enough. Little did we know…

Fast forward two years, many date changes and plan changes later. Here we were in April 2022 and it finally happened! The venue moved from the Fermenting Cellar to Brittany’s family home and the guest list scaled back to only 10 people but the day itself was amazing.

They got ready at the Broadview Hotel and we headed to the Distillery District for their photo shoot. To say it was chilly is an understatement. It was freezing! But Ashley, Brittany and their wedding party toughed it out and tried not to look too cold in the photos.

From there, we headed to the house which had been beautifully decorated to accommodate the wedding. The ceremony was intimate and emotional followed by toasts, dancing and an incredible meal provided by Elle Cuisine.

I feel very lucky to have been a part of this celebration. Going through all the adjustments needed to make it happen only made it more special and perfect.

Ashley and Brittany got to celebrate their marriage with all their extended family and friends later in the year at their original venue, The Fermenting Cellar, for their “Happily Ever After” party which I was there to document as well.
