There’s something incredibly special about photographing a family as they grow — especially when I get to return for baby number two. This sweet family recently welcomed their second baby girl, and it felt like a full-circle moment to be back behind the camera again. I had photographed their first daughter as a newborn, and seeing her now as a curious, proud toddler made this session even more meaningful.
Newborn sessions with older siblings always bring an extra layer of magic. Big sister was gentle, affectionate, and clearly very proud of her new role. From soft cuddles on the couch to quiet moments watching her baby sister sleep, these interactions told the real story of this growing family.
Photographing a second newborn is about more than capturing tiny details — it’s about documenting connection, change, and the beginning of a new family dynamic. These early days pass quickly, but images like these allow families to hold onto the fleeting moments that matter most.
