Christina & Paul – Distillery District and Peter Pan Bistro Wedding, Toronto

Christina and Paul were married on a gorgeous June day in the heart of Toronto, celebrating their love with an intimate, elegant wedding that felt both timeless and effortlessly stylish. From iconic urban backdrops to a heritage restaurant reception, their day was a beautiful reflection of who they are as a couple.

Distillery District Wedding Photos in Downtown Toronto

We began the day in Toronto’s historic Distillery District for a quiet photo session with just the bride and groom before the ceremony. With its cobblestone streets, preserved Victorian-era architecture, and industrial charm, the Distillery District is one of the most sought-after locations for Toronto wedding photography—especially during the summer months.

Of course, summer in the Distillery District also means crowds. After photographing several weddings in the area that season, I’ve learned how to work efficiently and strategically, choosing my favourite tucked-away corners and textured backdrops that offer both privacy and visual interest. These quieter spots allowed Christina and Paul to relax, be present with each other, and create natural, authentic moments without distraction.

Peter Pan Bistro Wedding on Queen Street West

From there, we headed west to the always-charming Peter Pan Bistro on Queen Street West, a venue I truly love and have photographed multiple times. This downtown Toronto heritage restaurant is a hidden gem for couples planning an intimate wedding or small reception.

The space is filled with character, from its stunning stained-glass window backdrop to its antique details and warm, inviting atmosphere. Add in exceptional gourmet dining, and it’s easy to see why Peter Pan Bistro is such a wonderful choice for a Toronto restaurant wedding that feels refined yet relaxed.

An Intimate and Elegant Toronto Wedding Celebration

Christina and Paul’s wedding was intimate, elegant, and eloquent—never overdone, yet deeply meaningful. Every detail felt intentional, creating a celebration that was true to them and centred around connection, conversation, and timeless style.

It was a joy to document a day that so perfectly balanced classic romance with urban Toronto charm, and a reminder of how powerful smaller weddings can be when they’re filled with heart.
