This wedding was a very special one for me. Deanna and I met in 1997 on our first day of classes at Ryerson’s School of Image Arts. She was the first friend I made upon moving to Toronto, we were roommates for a few years and have remained good friends ever since.
I was there the night she met Rob and have watch their relationship grow over the years, so it was amazing to see my Deedee marry the man of her dreams.
Throughout the night I kept joking that this was the wedding that had EVERYTHING, and it really did: an amazing family farm as the grounds, horseshoes, bocce, cows, home-made wedding cake(s), hand-made everything, a live band (the awesome Steamboat), a raging dance floor, a musical performance by yours truly, a firepit with corn on the cob and hotdogs, fireworks, and late-night swimming – including a plunge by the bride and groom.!
Wow!
It was an amazing day and the wedding of the year!
