A Downtown Toronto Wedding Worth the Wait
Deanne and Suhash’s wedding was one of many celebrations deeply impacted by the pandemic. Originally planned for August 2021, their wedding was postponed to the same month the following year. After such a long wait, the day finally arrived—and it was more than worth it. The joy, emotion, and anticipation were palpable throughout every moment.
Getting Ready in Downtown Toronto
The day began in the heart of the city, with Deanne getting ready at the ultra-chic Le Germain Hotel Toronto, while Suhash prepared at their Liberty Village condo. The contrast between the sleek hotel setting and the relaxed home atmosphere added a lovely balance to the morning.
A First Look and Family Photos at Osgoode Hall
For their first look and family photos, we met at Osgoode Hall, one of downtown Toronto’s most iconic and historic landmarks. The grand architecture and peaceful grounds provided a timeless backdrop for emotional moments and classic portraits.
Queen Street Wedding Photos and Urban Portraits
Afterward, the couple and wedding party took a stroll along Queen Street West toward the Storys Building, stopping for fun, candid photo opportunities along the way. The walk added an energetic, urban feel to their wedding photography and perfectly captured the vibrancy of downtown Toronto.
An Elegant Storys Building Wedding Reception
The reception and ceremony took place at the Storys Building, a 170-year-old brick-and-beam venue that beautifully preserves its historic character while offering a versatile, modern canvas. Deanne and Suhash transformed the space with soft white and blush florals paired with abundant candlelight, creating an atmosphere that felt both elegant and inviting.
A Heartfelt Ceremony and Lively Celebration
The ceremony was sweet and emotional, filled with laughter, happy tears, and meaningful moments. Cocktail hour followed, featuring a special touch—a serenading accordion player who also happened to be Deanne’s uncle, delighting guests with live music.
After a gourmet dinner provided by the Storys culinary team and a round of hilarious and heartfelt speeches, the energy shifted to full celebration mode. The dance floor quickly filled, and the party carried on late into the night, marking a perfect ending to a long-awaited downtown Toronto wedding.
