The very first thing I noticed when I arrived at the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto was how incredibly relaxed Jenny was. In a room filled with the usual pre-wedding buzz—hair, makeup, chatter, and anticipation—she was calm, grounded, and completely herself. That steady energy set the tone for the entire day and was a perfect reflection of who Jenny and Paddy are as a couple: thoughtful, connected, and quietly confident.
A Meaningful First Look at Craigleigh Gardens
For their first look, we headed to Craigleigh Gardens, a hidden gem tucked into a quiet residential area nearby. Paddy waited eagerly as Jenny approached, and the moment they saw each other was filled with genuine emotion. It was intimate, authentic, and one of those moments that perfectly captures why first looks are such a meaningful part of a wedding day.
Creative Wedding Portraits at the Toronto Reference Library
Our portrait session started outdoors but was cut short thanks to some particularly aggressive mosquitoes (and no one wants wedding-day welts—especially when you’re mosquito-sensitive!). Without missing a beat, we pivoted to the Toronto Reference Library, one of my favourite locations for unique wedding photography in Toronto.
Surrounded by soaring shelves of books and striking architectural lines, the space offered endless creative opportunities. The modern design elements, curves, and natural light made for stunning, editorial-style wedding portraits with a timeless, intellectual edge.
An Emotional Wedding Ceremony with a Unique Entrance
The ceremony itself was deeply emotional and heartfelt. One of the most memorable moments was Jenny’s entrance—descending alongside her father in the library’s large glass elevator. It was a unique and personal touch that added a quiet sense of drama and elegance to an already meaningful ceremony.
Elegant Library-Inspired Wedding Reception Décor
The dining hall décor perfectly complemented their simple and elegant library wedding theme. Antique books paired with soft white and blush florals, along with candlelight, created warm and inviting centrepieces. The overall atmosphere felt intimate, romantic, and effortlessly refined.
Unforgettable Wedding Speeches Full of Laughter and Heart
The speeches were, without question, the highlight of the reception. The humour rivaled any celebrity roast, while the heartfelt moments had the entire room laughing and crying—often at the same time. It was the perfect balance of comedy and sentiment, and a beautiful reflection of the love and community surrounding Jenny and Paddy.
