Rachel & Daniel – Orthodox Jewish Wedding – Mildred’s Temple Kitchen, Toronto

Rachel and Daniel’s wedding was a beautiful fusion of a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony and a stylish, modern urban Toronto celebration. Their day flowed seamlessly from sacred moments to city energy, creating a wedding that felt both meaningful and effortlessly cool.

Shaarei Shomayim Synagogue Wedding in North York

The day began at Shaarei Shomayim Synagogue in North York, where Rachel and Daniel shared their first look before their traditional Jewish ceremony. Surrounded by family and close friends, the couple exchanged vows in an emotional and timeless ceremony rooted in Jewish tradition. Following the ceremony, guests gathered for a warm and celebratory lunch at the synagogue, setting the tone for a day filled with connection, joy, and intention.

Liberty Village Wedding Portraits with an Urban Edge

After the ceremony, we made our way downtown for wedding portraits in Liberty Village, one of my all-time favourite Toronto locations for photos. Liberty Village holds a special place in my heart—I photographed my own wedding there 15 years ago—and it continues to be a standout spot for urban wedding photography in Toronto.

With its mix of historic brick buildings, industrial textures, and modern architectural elements, Liberty Village offers endless creative backdrops. Rachel and Daniel’s portraits perfectly reflected the neighbourhood’s gritty charm and contemporary vibe, capturing their relaxed chemistry and modern style.

Mildred’s Temple Kitchen Wedding Reception in Liberty Village

The celebration continued at Mildred’s Temple Kitchen, a beloved Liberty Village restaurant known for its iconic brunches and warm, inviting atmosphere. The reception featured a thoughtfully prepared vegetarian menu that guests raved about, followed by heartfelt speeches, joyful dancing, and plenty of high-energy moments.

From dancing the horah to breaking the challah and partying late into the night, Rachel and Daniel’s reception was filled with laughter, tradition, and nonstop celebration—proof that intimate, restaurant weddings can be just as lively and unforgettable.

Rachel and Daniel’s wedding was the perfect example of how tradition and modern city style can come together beautifully. From their Shaarei Shomayim Synagogue wedding to Liberty Village portraits and a lively Mildred’s Temple Kitchen reception, every part of the day reflected who they are and what they value most.
