An Intimate Backyard Wedding in North York
Sharon and Jeremy were determined to get married on their original summer wedding date, even when the pandemic forced them to rethink their plans. While their celebration was initially planned for the Glenerin Inn, they ultimately moved the ceremony to the groom’s uncle’s stunning backyard in North York.
The property provided a beautiful and private setting for their small gathering of close family and friends, creating the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed and meaningful celebration.
A Beautiful Ceremony Despite the Summer Heat
The wedding day happened to fall during a summer heatwave, but the shady backyard offered a natural canopy that kept everyone comfortable throughout the ceremony and festivities. With the guest list reduced due to restrictions, the celebration felt even more personal and intimate.
For Sharon and Jeremy, the simplified wedding day highlighted what truly mattered—celebrating their love surrounded by the people closest to them, along with those who joined virtually through a live Zoom stream.
Brunch Reception and Heartfelt Speeches
Following the short but sweet ceremony, the couple mingled with guests while maintaining a safe distance. A light brunch catered by Encore Catering was served, along with sparkling beverages that added a festive touch to the relaxed backyard reception.
The bride, groom, and the hosts shared heartfelt speeches filled with emotion and gratitude before the celebration concluded with the cutting of the cake.
A Wedding Focused on Love and Family
Without elaborate details or grand productions, Sharon and Jeremy’s wedding was beautifully simple. It was a day centred around love, joy, and family—proving that even during uncertain times, meaningful celebrations can still be truly perfect.
