Yaamini and Ryan’s Wedding – Enoch Turner Schoolhouse – Toronto

I love shooting weddings at the Enoch Turner Schoolhouse. The space has so much character, and so do Yaamini and Ryan! These two where constantly laughing, joking around and obviously so full of love for each other.

Many of the elements of the day were unique and perfectly reflected who the couple are. Together, they greeted all their guests as they arrived and made no big entrance to start the ceremony. It was very casual and relaxed.

The ceremony itself, officiated by Jeremy Citron (who was my officiant 8 years ago!), was a blend of Yaamini’s Hindu and Ryan’s Jewish backgrounds. It concluded with the couple dancing down the aisle to David Bowie’s “Lets’ Dance”. So fun!

They did their first dance to Danny Michel’s “A Cold Road” which was a meaningful song for the couple. Yaamini even surprised Ryan by playing a personalized greeting from the musician congratulating them on their wedding and thanking them for picking his song to dance too! The expression on Ryan’s face when he heard it was priceless!

The dance floor was hopping for the rest of the night and you could tell the couple’s family and friends share the same love and energy as they do.
