Cassandra and Steven were married at the picturesque Cambridge Mill, a stunning riverside wedding venue in Cambridge, Ontario. Despite a slightly soggy start to the day, nothing dampened their spirits—in fact, the weather added to the romance and charm of the celebration.
An Outdoor First Look at Victoria Park
The day began with an outdoor first look at nearby Victoria Park. While the rain lingered early on, it conveniently tapered off just in time for portraits. This gave us the perfect opportunity to capture fun, relaxed photos of the couple and their wedding party among the greenery. And honestly, I’m always a fan of a romantic umbrella shot—sometimes a little rain is a very good thing.
Dreamy Ceremony Light at Cambridge Mill
By the time the ceremony began, the weather had completely turned around. Sunlight streamed across the river and poured through the large windows of Cambridge Mill, creating a soft, glowing atmosphere that felt downright magical. It was one of those moments where everything aligns perfectly.
A Reception Full of Laughter and Personality
The reception brought the energy to a whole new level, thanks in large part to the incredible MC—Aunt Sandy. A true professional-calibre comedian, she had the entire room in stitches all night long. By the end of the evening, I’m fairly certain she could’ve walked away with a handful of new MC booking inquiries.
A Packed Dance Floor and a Perfect Rainy Night Portrait
The night wrapped up with a packed, high-energy dance floor and a final rainy night portrait outside the venue. Between the reflections, the rain, and the atmosphere, it quickly became one of my favourite night portraits to date—absolute perfection.
