Chrissi and Matt’s wedding at the stunning Harding Waterfront Estate is one I will never forget. Set against the scenic shoreline of Lake Ontario, this historic venue provided the perfect backdrop for a day that was equal parts unpredictable and unforgettable.
A Stormy Start: When Plans Change in an Instant
With dark clouds rolling in and rain threatening at any moment, the couple’s outdoor ceremony quickly became a moving target. What was meant to be a serene garden ceremony turned into a whirlwind of last-minute decisions—first delayed, then moved indoors, then paused again due to a medical emergency, and finally brought back outside.
Just as the ceremony got underway, the rain returned—this time with full force. But by then, there was no turning back.
The Shortest (and Wettest) Ceremony Ever
What followed was easily the shortest and wettest ceremony I’ve ever experienced. Guests huddled together, laughing through the downpour as Chrissi and Matt exchanged vows surrounded by their closest family and friends. Completely soaked and completely in the moment, the entire experience turned into an unexpected but beautiful tension-breaker.
Sometimes, when everything goes “wrong,” it actually becomes unforgettable for all the right reasons.
Blue Skies, Portraits & a Golden Sunset
As quickly as the storm rolled in, it disappeared. The skies cleared just in time for us to capture stunning wedding portraits around the estate’s manicured gardens, waterfront views, and elegant architecture. The soft post-rain light gave everything a fresh, romantic glow.
To top it all off, we were treated to a breathtaking sunset – an incredible ending to a day that had already delivered so many unforgettable moments.
