Elizabeth & Isaiah – Peterborough, Ontario Wedding

I first met Elizabeth and Isaiah in person during their engagement session at High Park in Toronto, a few months before the wedding. From the start, their sense of humour, playfulness, and genuine connection stood out. Between the romance, laughter, and a little bit of silliness, I knew their wedding day would be an absolute blast—and it did not disappoint.

A Meaningful Ceremony at The Mount Community Centre

They were married on a perfect fall wedding day, complete with a brief bit of rain that timed itself perfectly during the indoor ceremony and cleared just in time for outdoor photos. The ceremony took place at The Mount Community Centre in Peterborough, an iconic venue known for its ornate archways and soaring cathedral-style ceiling.

Adding an extra layer of meaning, Isaiah’s father officiated the ceremony, making the moment deeply personal and emotional for everyone in attendance.

A Lighthearted Ring Exchange and Big Laughs

True to Isaiah’s playful nature, the ring exchange came with an unexpected twist. The best man—Isaiah’s brother—handed over two ring pops instead of the wedding rings. A brief moment of confusion quickly turned into laughter once everyone realized it was a joke, creating one of the most memorable moments of the ceremony.

Wedding Portraits and a Special Reception Location in Omemee

After the ceremony, we made full use of the stunning architecture of The Mount Community Centre for wedding portraits before heading to the reception at Mill Stream Bible Camp in Omemee. This location held special significance, as Elizabeth had attended the camp during her childhood, making it a meaningful place to celebrate such an important milestone.

Fall Wedding Photos and Golden Light

By the time we arrived at the reception site, the rain had passed, the sun was shining, and the fall colours were at their peak. We captured beautiful seasonal portraits of Elizabeth and Isaiah along with their wedding party, surrounded by vibrant autumn foliage and warm, natural light.

A Reception Full of Surprises, Laughter, and Great Food

The wedding party brought their A-game to the reception. Groomsmen entered the room dressed as clowns, the bridesmaids performed a surprise dance to YMCA, and confetti poppers went off just as the couple entered—much to Elizabeth and Isaiah’s delight. It was an unforgettable entrance and set the tone for a night filled with laughter.

Dinner was just as memorable, with guests enjoying freshly made, fire-cooked personal pizzas prepared on-site—simple, fun, and absolutely delicious.

A Wedding That Was Joyful, Romantic, and Perfectly Playful

Just as I had expected, Elizabeth and Isaiah’s wedding was fun, sweet, romantic, and delightfully silly—in the very best way. A perfect reflection of who they are and the love they share.
