Golden Hour Engagement Photos at High Park
There’s something magical about photographing engagement sessions during golden hour, and this recent shoot at High Park was no exception. With warm evening light filtering through the trees and the park glowing in the late-day sun, it was the perfect setting for a relaxed and romantic engagement session.
A Playful and Romantic Couple
From the moment we started walking through the park, it was clear these two were completely at ease together. They were playful, laughing and joking with each other, which made for lots of natural, candid moments. At the same time, they shared quieter, romantic moments that really showed their connection.
This mix of fun and intimacy is what makes engagement photography so special. Instead of feeling overly posed, the photos capture couples simply enjoying time together before their wedding day.
A Surprise Visit from Some Ducks
One of the funniest moments of the evening happened when we were taking photos near the water. A group of very friendly ducks decided to wander over and join us, creating the ultimate photo bomb.
Instead of interrupting the shoot, it actually made for some of the most memorable and candid moments of the session. The couple couldn’t stop laughing as the ducks waddled into the frame, adding a bit of unexpected charm to the photos.
Beautiful Golden Hour Light in High Park
Golden hour is one of my favourite times to photograph couples in High Park. As the sun begins to set, the light becomes soft and warm, creating a flattering glow that adds a romantic feel to every image.
We explored a few different areas of the park, from open grassy spaces to tree-lined paths, making the most of the beautiful evening light while keeping the session relaxed and fun.
